Important Notice

Securing a valid NPC (National Population Commission) certificate is a mandatory prerequisite prior to attending your NIN appointment. Without this documentation, your NIN enrolment cannot be processed.

STEP 1: OBTAIN NPC CERTIFICATE

Adults Born in Nigeria
  1. Visit the NPC portal
  2. Go to Services → Attestation
  3. Fill out the form
  4. Pay $20 online
  5. Download your Attestation Certificate
  6. Bring it to the centre
Children Born in Nigeria
  1. Visit the NPC portal
  2. Go to Services → Birth Registration
  3. Complete the registration form
  4. Pay $20 online
  5. Obtain the Birth Registration Certificate
  6. Bring it to the centre
Children Born Abroad
  1. Visit the NPC portal
  2. Go to Services → Foreign Birth Notification
  3. Fill out the form
  4. Pay $20 online
  5. Download the certificate
  6. Bring it to the centre

Key Requirement: You must present a valid electronic copy of the certificate. Without it, enrolment cannot be processed.
